I had a very interesting day with the South East Coast Ambulance HART team this month. HART, which stands for Hazardous Areas Response Team, are highly trained paramedics that go into dangerous or difficult situations where other emergency services cannot go. These images are from a training day, at a Kent army base, that simulated riots and their wider medical and security implications.
Here's a PR job for the vital Community First Responders teams in Kent Sussex and Surrey. They a group of selfless volunteers that are on call 24/7 and are often first on the scene to give life saving interventions. They certainly have my respect.
